Since my youth I have been fascinated by photography and visual creativity in general. Capturing a place and its atmosphere is still something unique for me. Especially when I’m not just a spectator, but an active participant in an environment or scenario.
Driven by outdoor-sports and the curiosity for adventure I started to travel to far away places in my mid-twenties.
At first capturing these activities within vast landscapes dominated my photographic work. Very soon though this was accompanied by my growing fascination for the cultures I was allowed to witness on the way. And with these cultures more and more the interest in their vivid past, their vivid history. Archeology and especially Egyptology has grown to be a major aspect of my work over the last years.
In regard of publishing my focus is mainly, but not exclusively, in coffee-table-books, which I always thought of as a wonderful opportunity to leave ones everyday life behind for some time. A time to get curious and motivated for all the beauty out there waiting to be seen.
