This years trip to the Alps took Jan Kaspers and me to the Swiss/Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif. We packed everything from sleeping bag to pasta and stayed at night in the alpine bivouacs around Mont Dolent. We went off the beaten trek occasionally and had to find our own paths through some stages of challenging terrain with scree fields, streams and névé.
